Top 5 Cryptocurrency Apps Performance in Nigeria: Q2 2023

In the second quarter of 2023, the top 5 cryptocurrency apps in Nigeria showed varied performance trends in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at each app's metrics based on data from Sensor Tower.

Fone Network AI, Earning, NFTs experienced fluctuations in its weekly revenue, peaking at about $272 in early May but declining to around $136 by the end of June. Weekly downloads saw a significant spike in late April, reaching 469, before dropping to 139 by the end of the quarter. Active users also saw a downward trend from 18.6K at the start of the quarter to 13.5K by the end of June.

Cryptomania —Trading Simulator showed a varied performance with a peak in weekly downloads of 52.6K in early May, which then declined to 20.7K by the end of June. Revenue also fluctuated, peaking at $177 at the start of May and settling around $94 by the end of June. Active users initially increased from 97.4K to 128.8K in early May but decreased to 81.3K by the end of the quarter.

CryptoTab Farm: Digital Gold had a more stable revenue trend, with minor fluctuations around $110 throughout the quarter. Downloads were almost non-existent until mid-June, peaking at 832 in the week of June 19. Active users saw a dramatic drop from 681 in late March to just 33 by mid-June, before rising again to 443 by the end of the quarter.

22BT Coin Mining had a peak in downloads of 6.3K in early April, which then dropped significantly to zero by the end of June. Revenue followed a downward trend from $56 at the end of March to $17 by the end of June.

AtlantisCEX showed minimal activity in terms of downloads, peaking at 7 in the last week of June. Revenue remained relatively stable, hovering around $30 throughout the quarter.
